Eye Colour

Maia's eyes haven't changed colour yet.

Im not entirely sure they will change. They are blue but not a bright blue like I have seen on photos of babies on here but I think they are still quite gray. Both me & hubby have brown eyes (mine being very dark and his more hazel), but his sis and his mum both have blue eyes so I suppose it is possible they will stay as they are but I just assumed Maia would have brown eyes.

Anyone else's LOs still haven't changed, is this normal?

Maybe, maybe not.
Babies of African and Asian descent are usually born with brown eyes that stay brown. Caucasian babies are often born with steel gray or dark blue eyes; they may stay gray or blue or turn green, hazel, or brown by the time they're 9 months old. That's because a child's irises (the colored part of the eye) may gain more pigment in the months after she's born, but they won't get "lighter" or more blue. (Green, hazel, and brown eyes actually have more pigment than grey or blue eyes, even if they appear lighter in color.)

Caitlyns are still blue, mine are green OH's are brown......

I bought a book on the human body when I was pregnant and it had a section on genetics of eye colour, explaining that it doesn't just decend from the babys parents, but also the baby's grandparents!

Ours work out as;

OHs Mum - Grey/Blue
OHs Dad - Grey/Blue
OH - Green

My Mum - Brown
My Dad - Grey
Me - Green

= Baby Jack - currently mid Blue!

Lil miss has steel blue eyes... I don't think they will change... but they did get lighter They were really dark when she was born...now they are more like DH's colour blue eyes... I have hazel, but my dad has blue so I carry a brown/blue gene.... DH carries a blue/blue gene, which means all our children have a 50/50 chance of developing blue eyes...

Finlay's eyes were dark blue when he was born and they are currently bright blue.

My eyes are bright blue and OH's eyes are slightly darker blue so we don't think Finlay's eyes will change much more

Cally's eyes didn't go hazel for a few months but are most definately brown now, just like her daddy's. Seren has baby blue eyes and I have green. I love the fact my children have different coloured eyes from eachother.

Callums were really dark when he was born and stayed like that for AGES
Months!

Almost like black





And now theyre a really bright blue





i have blue eyes and Lee has green but his eyes change sometimes to a bluey colour... hes weird

My eyes are dark blue, and OH's eyes are light blue..Ella's eyes are quite dark blue but lighter than mine.

Coopers eyes are going to be brown just like his daddys
