Hey girlies. Just asking for wee bit of advice: - Could exercise prevent conception or even implantation? I'm bit confused at minute. Before falling pregnant last time I would have exercised a lot - 6 days a week, sometimes twice a day. Since MC I have really changed my view and have cut it down to 3/4 times a week. Some people are of the view that this is still to much but I really can't cut it down any further cos I'm not the sort of person to sit around all the time. I have a fairly much sitting job and need to have some activity in my life. Help please :-)

Excercise is good for you, esp wen ttc.

If ur body is used to it then it shouldn't harm you in anyway. As far as i know you should just go easy on the weights as u produce relaxin wen pregnant and it can weaken the joints and make u more succeptible to injury.

I know people who have gone to the gym all throughout and been fine, and it'll help prepare you for the labour/birth, and also help your recovery after :)

xxx

exercise is good for you , it cant induce a miscarriage , if your going to miscarry then you will with or without exercise , but not hell for leather exercise just enough . your cut down sounds reasonable 2 times a day sounds like too much x

Exercise is good when ttc and the girls are right don't do heavy weights but cardio should be fine as long as you are not over pushing yourself. good luck hun and sorry to hear about the m/c xxx

I've got really lazy with regards to weight training. Can't get myself dragged to the gym. So it's been all cardio work I've been doing so should be ok. Thanks for all your opinions girls. :-)

I am a fitness freak and always have been, i would exercise nearly everyday, do triathlons, play netball and go to the gym. My periods stopped last year even when i was on the pill so i decided to come off as well as we wanted to ttc. I had irregular periods for months and carried on exercising as normal. I eventually went to the doctor who referred to a specalist. They think my exercise played some part to my irregualr periods, so i have cut down to 3/4 times a week of moderate exercise.
