Excess 'his' ttc vitamins

Hi ladies
As I was ttc for quite a while, I took advantage of the 3 for 2 offer on their boxes of his&her conception vitamins. OH wasn't always the best at remembering to take his, and stopped once I got my bfp, so we've got quite a surplus of the 'his' vitamin. They will go past their Use By date before we would even think about ttc number 2, so wondering what to do with them.
I hate to throw good things in the bin, so thought about offering them to a friend who I know is ttc, or offering to anyone on here. Only thing holding me back is whether that might be taken the wrong way by my friend (she is having difficulties conceiving). Wanted to ask your collective thoughts.
Thanks

As someone who was in the TTC game long term, if a friend knew we were trying I personally wouldn't have been offended by the offer but of course that's just me. If she's like most LTTTCers, then she's probably got OH taking vitamins anyway.

I think the only thing that may be an issue to her is if her OH isn't being cooperative with these things, as is the case for a lot of ladies here, it may hit a raw nerve. My OH was generally pretty good so I would have just seen it as something I would have been paying for anyway.

Of course you know your friend best but that's just a couple of points that sprung to mind for me. If you talk about it with her could you feel her out a bit first before offering? A friend of mine is struggling but I wouldn't worry about offering as she's openly stated that she's got her OH on them. I'd be a bit more wary if it had never been mentioned.

Thanks Moomin. I know they at least were taking them last year, as they had the pregnacare box out on the coffee table a few times when we've been around their place. She was also the one that turned me on to the 3 for 2 offers at Tesco, and has said a few times that it's rubbish how much all the ttc costs add up, so I'm sure they would use them.

I'm probably over thinking it, but I'm so acutely aware of their struggles (over 2 years ttc, and starting ivf next month), I don't want it to come across as rubbing it in that we've had an easier road.

Totally get what you mean. We had a difficult time ourselves, no question about that but I'm still all too aware about how many others have had it so much worse. I know I'm making it sound like a competition which of course it isn't but I'm sure you know what I mean especially if you were also trying for a while. Though if she was the one who told you about the 3 for 2, she doesn't sound like someone who would be offended if you passed yours on.

If she is fed up the cost, and you know they're taking them, I think she'd appreciate the offer!

Thanks ladies. I think I will go for it, as it seems an awful waste of the tablets if not. I think I'll go with Moomin's suggestion and try gently sound her out by checking in with her and how they're feeling about upcoming ivf, and then offer them if I think she's in the right frame of mind
