Hi

I gave birth this morning at 1.20am and had to have an episomy and stitches and foreceps delivery. Obviously I am massively sore, has anybody else been through this and if so how long did you take to heal? At the moment I'm still in hospital as I lost a lot of blood so am restricted to my hospital bed. I'm trying to rest on my side to help with the pressure and also rinsing the area with warm water and changing my pad regularly. How long should it be before the soreness eases?

I would say a week or so I'm afraid :(

What I did, which you've prob seen me mention 100 times before is mix some tea tree oil in a little milk and add it to a bath. 4 or so of those a day you will heal quicker. My first with stitches was about 5 days. Also, when you want to pee use a jug of warm water to pour down as you go.

Congratulations :) xxxxx
