Engagement party

AHH...

Well the OH proposed on 14th Sept whilst in Egypt on holiday! Was very romantic we went on a mega safari trip which included quads, camal ride, Bedouin dinner then star gazing.
It was while we were star gazing me popped the question i said YES !!


Now im back home im trying to book an engagement party but its proving really hard!
Being close to christmas everywhere local is pretty much booked up!!

Wow, what a nice engagement story! Congratulations! We have a few ladies planning weddings at the moment on here.

I haven't got much advice about engagement parties as we didn't have one (family and friends spread too far across the country.) My only suggestion is contact local working mens/social clubs as they do hire out cheaply as long as you join. Also perhaps consider a different night to Friday or Saturday. We had a Sunday wedding reception at a social club and everyone was really happy with it.

awww, Congratulations.

I had by engagement party last november and had the same issue, lots of places where booked up. I put my name down for a few cancelations and in the end because it was for the date I wanted I ended up chosing a room where I was limited with the amount of people I could invite.

This really annoyed me and I got way stressed over who to invite or not. In the end I made a list of all those who were important to me and forgot the rest! After all it was my party! (oh and OH's lol)

Panic over ive found a social club not far from me that can old 110 people! didnt have the 10th nov but had the week later 17th YAY !!

So its not time for invites and party planning! Keep my mind off this baby brain for a while as im waiting to AF to arrive.. shes late and all the tests are so far Negative !!! annoying! lol xx
