Hi vegas, the main sign is pain, just before AF (and during), often when ovulating and sometimes during intercourse. There can also be pain during bowel movements. Can cause spotting, there may be others too but these are all I can think of at the moment.
It only shows on a scan if you have endometriosis cysts also known as chocolate cysts or endometriomas. Hope this helps xx

I do get a bit of pain around af and ovulation but not really during sex. I wonder if I might have a bit of endo. Going to appointment in 2 weeks. Hopefully get some answers soon. 20 months ttc now

I never got it during sex either really, only on the odd occasion. The pain I had was horrendous, a little pain is normal so try not to worry too much, its really a mysterious condition, some women have loads and never know til they have a lap cos they have no pain and some ladies have a little with lots of pain. There really is no way of knowing without a laparoscopy xx
