I should also have mentioned that I've only spent £250 in total on bub's nursery and that includes bedding and wall stickers and all furniture. I know evie has also got numerous eBay bargains too as well as lots of others on here. X

Im the same - i moved into my own 3 bedroom house at 35 weeks, it cost me a bloody fortune as i had to find my deposit, rent in advance, abd then buy furniture on top of that as i lived with my mum before, i found an amazin bargain on ebay, cream sofa, £35!! Its spotless and just what i wanted!
Iv just text my mum to ask her to bring the laptop round so i can trawl ebay now.. I have a craving! Haha

ha ha me too off to have a mooch on there! Got the fisher price rainforest bouncer for £11 and it is a total bargain we haven't really got to get much as a friend managed to get me a brand new steriliser for free and all my clothes are primark bigger sizes so only have 5 maternity items in my wardrobe in total!!

Iv not even decorated mine! (I private rent, and not sure if im allowed! Lol altho iv done my livin room.. Whoops!)

I double checked my tenancy agreement about something similar recently, basically on most general agreements it usually says something along the lines of 'nothing should be reasonably refused by the Landlord' with regard to decorating.

Technically it's 'upkeep' of the property and at the worst, it's a case of painting it back to how it was when you move out again.

Your Landlord is possibly going to be happy that you're not pestering him to come and do work on things for you

I haven't bought anything except a snuggle blanket for this baby, everything i have is from friends who have young children, changing table, moses basket, clothes, bedding, sterilisers (x2 lol), bouncy chair, bath, top and tail bowl and still got more coming in the next week...even my baby sling is one that i still have from when my 6 year old was tiny.

There is nothing wrong with 2nd or even 3rd hand stuff... and anyway with money the way it is at the moment every penny counts!
