I know of someone who uses them and has done for ages. If she is still going with them, they must work for her. I've never used them myself so really can't comment. Found these reviews Review 1 Review 2 Most comments elsewhere seem to be that if something is really heavily or darkly soiled they don't shift it and also there is no smell from laundry. It can be a bit hard to get over as we are used to the smell of detergent. Doesn't mean the clothes are any less clean though
