Am i right in thinking there is a site / software where you can enter details and get it to bid for an item for you at the last min?

Or is my brain playing tricks on me....

Gixen is fab. I don't bid in the last few seconds myself any more because I'm terrible for ending up paying more than I wanted to

cool thanks ladies.

(i didn't win the item i was after in the end anyway :( )

I just like pressing the f5 button!!!!!! yea ocasionaly you can end up paying slightly more then you wanted but if its still cheaper then buying it new and you really want/need it then who cares about a few extra pence!!!

Oooooooh never heard of those before!! How do they work? The times I have sat thereclicking refresh over and over :D

I used to bid at the last minute but sometimes I ended up paying more than I wanted to  Now I decide how much I want to pay for something, enter my maximum bid then go away and forget about it till the auction is finished :) My dad accidentally did this the other day and added an extra 0 to his maximum bid ! Luckily he won, obviously, but didn't end up paying his maximum price, phew!

Thats why old people and ebay don't mix  Only joking, my dad knows more about the internet than I do :D

With auctionsniper you put the highest bid you will pay in - its usually good to put an odd amount in for example £9.59 as lots of people round up bids to either .00 or .50 - it will then drop your bid in 7 seconds before the end of the auction. It will only bid the amount you need to to win so you dont pay over the odds - I was awful for pushing myself that extra £1 then another before I was introduced to it - now I decide what I think is fair to pay set up my snipe and leave it to it.....

We use Goofbay. You just put in the max you want to pay and it bids for you. You can set it to bid 5secs before the end, although we always set it to bid at 2 secs lol.

ooooooooh ya learn somethin every day......i'll be tryin them :D

Are these sites all reliable and safe?

Just wondering before I get one to bid on a telescopic mascara for me at 9pm tonight! :cheer:

I always use goofbay, never had any problems, you can also check out the sellers history on there to which is handy to check them out
