With my son I conceived first month 'trying' - not even trying reaally, just stopped preventing (bit of a shock!). This time it was the 4th month so still not long but longer than 1st time. We've been quite lucky really.
It was easier for us to concieve baby number 2, altho it only took 6 weeks with Chester we were trying 3 times aday around ov time! With baby number 2 we only BD once and then I thought I wasnt ov and various other things. So for me number2 was easier.
i only have one child but i have conceived twice- both times i was on the pill but the first time was kinda my own fault coz i thought i could get away with missing the odd pill here and there- the second time i'd learned from that so i didnt miss a single one- yet i still got pregnant- SO going off that i can only presume it was easier the second time if that makes sense? (odds were more against it etc)
I am in my 20th month TTC my second, my dd was conceived in 3 months so definately longer for the second! We just had our first appointment at fertility clinic yesterday to see what the problem is.
i think everyones different, was definitely longer ttc 2nd time around but because i had longer cycles than when ttc first time. i think just because you have been there done it makes no difference at all.
1st: unplanned - (silly 17 year old taking chances with no protection! )
2nd: 1st cycle trying
3rd: 1st cycle trying
4th: unplanned!! (hadn't restarted AF due to breastfeeding 3rd daughter! Must have caught on first ov after she was born! )
I've been very lucky, but am gonna have to be very careful not to have any more slip ups cos OH is refusing the snip!
