early scan???

I am approx 9 weeks, possibly 10, and my scan has just come through as being on Friday. Isn't this slightly premature? I thought it wasn't 12 weeks or after?

MIne was early chick but when i got there instead of 11 & 2days they measured me at exact 12 weeks so changed my edd
