Early Scan!

OK, so over the weekend I had a little bleeding. And rather than fret and panic and wonder what was going on and make myself sick with worry, I called the Dr this morning and made an appointment for this morning.

The Dr said that she wasn't sure what it was but prepared me for miscarriage and referred me for a scan. The hospital called and booked me in for 3.45pm. Got there and had a scan and saw the little bean on the screen and its heartbeat!

I am not as pregnant as I thought I was, they have me down at 5-6 weeks, and I have absolutely no idea what my due date is or how pregnant I am now! Rearranged my midwife's appointment from 13 June to 4 July, so will wait until then.

I have to say that the NHS were brilliant, I really couldn't fault them at all today. They didn't make me feel neurotic or daft for being there, and said that the foetus has a healthy heartbeat which is a good sign.

I know there's still a way to go but seeing our baby on the monitor and watching its little heart beating was incredible. Fingers crossed of course, but it would seem all is well for now.

So relieved! Thanks to all who replied to my thread last week, I really appreciate it.

Anyway, just thought I'd send a little update!
