early scan done and worried **UPDATE**

wow what a tense 24 hours well they never rang last night wth the blood results so this morning i rang them at 9am and my numbers were a whopping 15,340 they said anything over 1,500 and they should have seen something, so they asked me to go straight away for another scan, to say i was worried was an understatement as eptopic was mentioned, i arrived and they took me straight in to see the doctor who started to scan me and immediatly saw a baby and heartbeat and she says all is well and they will scan me again next friday to double confirm, thank you all for the support and well wishes, at the moment i am just exhausted i think from the worry but we are soooooooooo relieved.

thank you again and anybody in the same position just remember that they are only people and CAN make mistakes

Hi Susie

Sorry to hear that your scan has caused worries. I've been in a similar situation - had a scan at 6 weeks only to be told that the sac was only 1mm (the size of 4 weeks apparently). This was 2 weeks ago and ever since I have been petrified that it has stopped growing. I was told to come back after 2 weeks, but I'm trying to hold off a bit longer to give it as much chance to develop a heartbeat. Anyway, just wanted to say that I know exactly how you're feeling, the waiting is terrible. But there is some hope - I was told I may have ovulated late which would set everything back a bit. It is still very early days for you, maybe your dates were out slightly.

Miffy i really get a good outcome too, when are you going for a follow up scan? please dont loose hope like i say they can get things mixed up
