early scan done and worried **UPDATE**

been for an early scan today as i have been cramping since yesterday and i didnt want to take any chances, well they found a sac but they could see nothing in it, i know its early but i'm still very worried, they took blood for hormone check and i get results about 3pm and then i get another blood test done on friday (good friday) this should give us a better idea of how things are going, i am also booked for another scan in 9 days, please ladies keep me in your prayers

thank you all so much, i am nervously awaiting the dreaded phonecall to give blood results but i just dont have a good feeling about it, does anybody know what levels i should be looking for at this stage any help would be be really appreciated, Happy chick so sorry about your m/c

Hi Susie

I am keeping everything crossed for you at the moment sorry I don't know what levels you bloods should be but they're meant to double in 24 hrs. Also I would've thought 5+5 was a bit early to see anything on a scan apart from the sac and the fact that they found that is a good thing. You're in my prayers hun.x.

hospital just rang my bloods have only just reached the lab in wigan she says she knows i'm anxious and will try to get them to me today but it may be in morning its just my luck, that i wont get them till morning

Hi Susie

Sorry to hear that your scan has caused worries. I've been in a similar situation - had a scan at 6 weeks only to be told that the sac was only 1mm (the size of 4 weeks apparently). This was 2 weeks ago and ever since I have been petrified that it has stopped growing. I was told to come back after 2 weeks, but I'm trying to hold off a bit longer to give it as much chance to develop a heartbeat. Anyway, just wanted to say that I know exactly how you're feeling, the waiting is terrible. But there is some hope - I was told I may have ovulated late which would set everything back a bit. It is still very early days for you, maybe your dates were out slightly.

Hi, just wanted to wish you luck for today and hope you get the results you wish for, i hope this puts your mind at rest!

I had early probs with my pregnancy and went for a scan and they couldnt in fact see anything at all, not even the sack, i was begining to feel as if i was imagining it, anyway i went through the same as you and they took some bloods and i had to go back in 48 hours for more, they could see from that that my hormones were in fact rising and determined i was just too early to see anything on a scan, i had a scan again 10 days later and there it was,
