Rubes has always used just a sleeping bag in her cot....during the warm nights (when we have had them!? ) then she just goes down in cotton PJS onto a cotton bottom sheet in her cot....

Now she is getting bigger, I would like to use a pillow and duvet...OH is paranoid she will suffocate with a pillow and get too hot with a duvet

Shall we wait until we swap to a toddler bed, whats the best age and any experiences would be grateful

Arianna has had a little pillow for ages, probably about 8mths old, and a duvet. We had a duvet in the cot too before she went in to the bed

dylan hates covers and just sleeps with a sheet on but i bought him a pillow about a monht ago when he had croup when he was 15 months and he loves it..his faev position is to sleep on his tummy but he knows to moves his head

Thanks girls...just lookig at the Gro Bag first duvet sets, they zip up like a sleeping bag and the pillow fastens onto the bottom sheet...VERY expensive tho!!!

Should I wait until we move her to a toddler bed (probably around Christmas when she is nearly 2?)

When should we be thinking of moving her to a bed???

God, I am crap at this!!! :rotfl:

Aaliyahs 21 months now and has only had a junior bed for about 3 months tops. Before that she was in her cot always with a small pillow, flannel flat sheet and celular blanket or fleece blanket. I only bought her a duvet and bed pillow when she had her junior bed and she's fine with them sometimes she slides off her pillow and lies without it but she can kick her covers off easily.

lukes still in a cot he has a pillow i tried a duvet but he got too hot as its been mild so when its get colder will put the duvet back in too, i think the pillow makes him feel more cosy but more often than not he is no hwere near the pillow by morning.

Gabriella always had a gro bag and I was really worried about changing over to a toddler bed and losing the gro bag.

I decided to try her with a pillow and light duvet whilst she was still in her cot to get her used to it and about a month later I transferred her into the toddler bed and we have not had any problems at all.
She kicks her duvet off when she gets too warm and pulls it back when she is cold.

Good luck Zoe; I know I dreaded parting with the gro bag but it all worked out fine :D

PS, Ikea do some great duvets (nice and light) for toddler beds and thin pillows :D

not an active member orgy uking it innit
