Drawing a blank on boys names!

When I got my bfp I started making a list of boys and girls names I liked and when we had the 12w scan hubby finally agreed to look at it. To my surprise he liked one of the girl's names I liked (one which I never expected him to but as we both agreed on it we're keeping it secret!) but he didn't like any of the boys names; reasons being he knew someone with that name who's an arsehole or someone he knows had already called their kid that.
Every boy name I've suggested since has gone down like a tonne of bricks and despite an early inkling that we're having a girl I now think it's a boy so I'm desperate to find one we agree on! Our surname is Trist so don't really want a one syllable first name, and hubby pointed out he can't say his 'th's properly so things like Theo are out the window as they'd end up being Feo! Any not too common but not too quirky boys names you canthinkof that would sound good with Trist?!
So far he's rejected my suggestions of: Noah, Zachary, Nathaniel, Dennis (my grandads name), Isaac... cant remember my other ideas now!!

Quite like traditional, not keen on modern (or 'invented' as I have a habit of calling them!) names. I like Joshua but my friends son is a Joshua, Harvey is cute but is hubby's best mates dogs name I like William, it's hubby's middle name and grandfather's name (he never met him though) but when I mention it he doesn't seem too thrilled. If I didn't have to consult him it'd be so much simpler
I also have to avoid names of celebs I fancy (of which the list is extensive, ha ha!) as hubby knows where I got the idea from for those

I love Stanley and Alexander - they seem to work with Trist! I also like George, Henry, Archie, Mathew and Benjamin which are all quite traditional xx

Aww Stanley is cute! My husband is a Matthew which is a shame as I like that too I have an evil ex boyfriend called Ben so that makes my blood run cold, ha ha! Shame really as my friend recently called her son Ben - awkward!

I have also got a evil ex called Ben and one called sam so they are no nos for me too! My boys name is defo Freddie but Stanley is a very close second!! Xx

It is hard isn't it! My hubby and I can't decide any names for a boy or a girl! I quite liked Maisie for a girl but one of the family used to have a dog named Maisie!

I work in a school so I'm working my way through the registers lol!

I like Joseph but that would make him think I liked it because of Joe McIntyre from new kids on the block (which is true!) and the others are names of our friends or their kids. Darn these people with names! Hubby came up with a quite unusual one tonight which surprised me but I quite liked it, I'll keep it quiet (for some reason I'm superstitious and also don't want someone saying ooh that's a horrible name!) but my only concern with it was it ended in a T, not sure if it'd sound odd with our surname beginning with T... hmmmm..... x

Haha lol to the New Kids on The Block thing! I'm the same with trying to keep our favourites quiet...my mum is desperate to know so she can tell her sisters who will all pass their judgements and get on my nerves lol!

I guess hubby is matt trist to most people and apart from sounding a bit like mattress it works ok I'm obsessed with nkotb so donnie, joe, jordan, jonathan and danny all out the window Tee hee!! x

Ha cornish I loved new kids too! What about Ethan? Ethan Trist is a strong name. Wait a minute. ..just checked sorry you said no 'th' names. Hmm I find boys names hard even though I have one! He was gonna be John like his dad or Matthew. Or Ewan but hubby didn't like that. Ewan Trist. Not sure that sounds right. I've always quite liked Ryan. Ooft boys names are hard, good luck xxx

Ooh I love Ethan too but yeah you're right - Efan..... When he concentrates he seems to be able to say 'th' but guess he doesn't want to concentrate every time he says his childs name
There's always someone I've had the hots for with these names too, ethan hawke, ewan mcgregor... I think the moral of this story is I need to stop lusting after men on tv... Or at least stop being so open about it, ha ha! Hubby keeps his to himself, perhaps I could learn from him! Trouble is I just can't help but let out a 'phwoarrrrr' when some bit of eye candy is on, its like a reflex!
Life would have been so much easier if I'd had babies with donnie wahlberg... xxx

PS. Kay, is it bad that when I finally got my bfp I had a little panic as id heard there might be another nkotb tour in the uk this spring/summer and I was worried I would miss it?! I saw and met them 5 times in 2012, you'd think that would be enough, but oh no.....!

Haha oh now I'm worried about you lady! Actually I totally understand! So jealous you got to meet the kids themselves! That's my life's ambition hehe! "I'll be loving you foreeeeever" lol!
I also love ewan mcgregor which is why I think I always wanted that as my boys name! Hubby just as bad though, he wanted Jennifer for a girl cos of his love for Jennifer Aniston! Tsk!

Tee hee! It cost me a small fortune in vip tickets and hotels, trains etc but was sooooo worth it. I saved up for about 18 months in anticipation of a tour, won't be able to do it again with a small person here! It's odd really as I love my rock/metal but I've just never got over my first loves of those 5 boys from boston! Meeting them is the best, the first 4 concerts I was meeting them in a group of 10 fans but for the last show I managed to get one of the best tickets where you meet them on your own I'd made a different tshirt for each show, each having something todo with my love for donnie (and some were a bit saucy!) so donnie recognised me after the first couple of shows and on the 4th which was all a bit rushed as we were all on our way out to let the next group in, he pulled me to one side and hugged and kissed me and said thank you for the tshirts I nearly cried! Needless to say by the last one where I was going to be on my own I was wetting myself! I barely spoke to the others at that one as I was just cuddling donnie for ages, and he kissed me on the lips so I was just lost! For some reason hubby didn't share in my excitement when I told him! That wahlberg is such a smoothie. I felt like a jealous ex when I heard he's now got a girlfriend, ha ha!! I'm such a teenybooper at heart So yeah, think I can definitely discount Donnie as a name. .. ill try and upload my meet & greet photos kay, have you seen the handsome bunch since they reformed? X

Omg that's awesome! Donnie sounds lovely! Great pics! Although I can't imagine why your hubby wasn't as excited lol. I was about 10 when they were first out (the right stuff was one of my first records, 7"vinyl how old does that make me sound? ?) Anyway I was too young to go to any of their concerts. I used to love joey then moved on to Jordan. Do you watch blue bloods? I'm guessing you do since you love Donnie! He's great on that! Not sure about him and Jenny Mccarthy don't think they look right together! I don't know any of their new stuff but when I hear their old songs it takes me right back to 1989
