Ok so I am going to be needing a pushchair to fit a newborn and a 2 year old into. I think I prefer the in line ones but does anyone have any advise, suggestions as to the best sort/make to buy??

Thanks!!!

:D

I voted inline one because its easier to get through doors etc with them! But I did love my side by side one
I had a Maclaren side by side and loved it! But struggled to get it through my front door :( It was quite a narrow version too but still had trouble! When I had my DD I got a tandem! A graco one with a car seat to clip on to the back seat like a travel system! That was great! Could get on the bus easier (wheel on bus, wouldnt even attempt a non buggy bus lol) and in doors easier but it was heavier getting up and down steps etc!

Im really not much help lol as I like them both hahaha hopefully someone else can help more! :?

I went and played around with a few today as I will be needing one too and decided my favs are the Maclaren Techno Twin and the Baby Jogger Mini. I originally wanted a tandem but having pushed a few around today and tried to fold them they were too much hassle I thought

Thanks so far ladies. Obviously I will go and try some out but been having a look on the net and found this one at mothercare, reasonably priced with big basket and has some good reviews. Anyone got one??

That is almost identical to the Graco one I had!

i got a phil and teds one which o love but have you thought about baby wearing - its a lot less and as you've got a 2 year old it might be better. (in the sense the 2 y/o's not gonna be in it too much longer.

I'll be wearing my baby but there will be times when I need to put both in a pushchair (I suffer back pain and sometimes cant babywear :( ) so thats why I'm getting a twin

I wore Tom for a bit but I had such back problems after having him that I don't think it's a good idea again. I walk to the local shops quite a bit so would like something easy to maneovere (sp?!).

What about getting a buggy board for your toddler?

I had the Cosatto Duet Lite but I hated it. Was too heavy and hard to get up kerbs with Nathan in the front and I didn't like the fact it was so long and infront of me when crossing roads etc. Also, when Kieran got older he wouldn't be able to see much being stuck at the back.

I got a cheap side by side one and much prefered it. The only problem was getting through narrow doors.

Although tbh I have got rid of both of the above now because I wear Kieran and have Nathan in the single pushchair or have Kieran in the single and Nathan on buggy board.

If you are going to be using it quite a lot I would defiatly recommend the tandem. Aimee was only 13 months when Nathan was born so we got a lot of use out of ours. We bought a Graco one similar to the one you posted and it was fab. Really sturdy and comfy for kids plus easy to maneuver despite its size. Folds down really easily too with one hand :D I did buy a side by side when Nathan was about 16 months cos I hardly used the tandem anymore and it was a lot smaller to just chuck in the boot. Was a pain though getting round the shops and you had to judge every isle and door way before you attempted it, I had a really narrow one too. Never had that problem with the tandem.

I have had both and i found the inline one easier to get through doors etc but it really pulled on my back when turning etc, i loved the side by side and i think more shops acommodate them now :D it was so much easier to control.

We were planning on a combination of slings with our existing pushchair, and getting a toddler seat which fits over the babies carry cot for our 18 months old (as will be). This is a much cheaper option than a twin/tandem, at least for the first 5-6 months.

I just wanted to say I got a flyer from Netto and it has the Cosatto Duo for £79! Looks like the Graco/mothercare ones above! Dont know how good they are though as never used one! But thought I would let you know!

Thanks for your reply, I had thought about a buggy board as I do love my current pushchair but Tom's not even walking yet so I don't know how practical it would be at the start. Would be easier though, and cheaper!!

Wow, bargain, thanks!! Think there's one up by my father in law in Sunderland.
