alex loves his. certainly never had any probs with ours- the lindham one.

i always give it a good tug to be sure once i have set it up! if it can hold me it will def hold alex!!

i pop a mirror in front of alex and he cant get enough of watching himself bouncing

I'm the same as you lozzijane..... my nephew had one and fell from it, so we have bought one for Arianna that is on a stand. It's a fisherprice one - it is quite expensive compared to the door ones (£70) but I feel happier with her in it.

I have the Lindam one..... http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/p ... 752283.htm

and I have to say I thought it was horrible! I used to have to put a couple of pillows up either side of the door frame, because zack kept knocking his face into it. :? ...when I had mastered the cellotaping pillows to the door frame just so he could use it, he thought it was great. Only problem was that when he tried walking he would try and bounce along. He was only in his door bouncer about 10 mins at a time, babys arnt meant to be in there longer.

If you have space for a baby walker then I would suggest one of those. I think the baby walker was one of my best buys lol :D

Nathans got the lindam one aswell and he loves being in it :D

i really want to get one for madi i think she will love it!

hayden loves his too..hes a little bit wobbley in it so i dont put him in for too long but he gives the biggest smiles bouncing round in it!
hes got one from mothercare thats a duck! lol

do you fix it over the top of the door or clip it to the door frame? (over head) if so - doesn't it make the door frame loose? i'd love one but i was worried it would make the frame loose or it wouldn't grip tight enough for him to bounce.

Jayce had the lindam one too, she liked to swing from it more than bounce tho haha! I think they are very safe. A girl i was sharing with's DD was very very jumpy on hers and she had to tape sponge down the sides of the door frame as she kept bouncing side to side lol!

i'm not sure what happened about it but when i was expecting hayden i remember reading somewhere that they dont sell baby walkers in mothercare and some other places anymore because they are dangerous or something..i think a lot of babies tipped themselves over in them. but my cousins had them when they were litte and they loved whizzing round in them!! hehe

Yeahi remember someone in mothercare telling me that when i was pg.. I still got one tho but kept an eye on her and she was fine! She loved it! They arent supposed to be in them when they are walking though, so maybe thats why they were tipping or something? Same as door bouncers, they arent for walking kids.
Annoying coz jaycee was walking at 10 months so we had to give her 2 fav toys up early!

finn loves bouncing in his... he also loves his walker, I bought my walker from other care so they must have started selling them again

Hiya, With the baby walkers the babies feet need to be flat on the ground (Not tip toes) Otherwise they learn to walk to there tip toes. the muscles in the back of the legs shorten, making it painfull to walk. Also THe babies can reach up higher and pull things over them selves more often. (got a lealfet about it recently)

Maddie never really used her bouncer (I had the same problem with her bashing into the door frame - you really need a double-door! - never thought of the pillow idea though) or baby walker, but she was walking on her own at 10 months. So they were a bit of a waste of money for us. I have heard bad things about the walkers in terms of impairing babies natural ability to walk, but I guess if only used for short periods they may be OK.

I have not bought one yet but my friend has one which I think she bought in tesco for £25. Her little boy loves going in his bouncer which is good as she can get on with the housework and stuff. The one she has got is nice and securly fitting so baby can't fall out and I would think they all have to be safety tested anyway.
