i had my second miscarrage november 23rd 2012 (partners bday) we've been trying ever since with no luck whatsoever ... my partner went out with a friend last night and got slightly tipsy, the conversation of the mc somehow came up and he got very emotional saying it was the worst day of his life and it breaks his heart he cant give me the baby i long for. he looked like he was gonna cry. he wasnt very supportive at the time and i hated him for it ... but now i really do understand, he was obviously hurting too and i was too wrapped up in my own sadness and grieve to even notice he was hurting .... i feel terrible! never forget your man girls... he needs support to! love to you all xxxx

I found this poem shortly after experiencing our ectopic loss.

For The Daddy's
It must be very difficult
To be a man in grief,
Since "men don't cry" and "men are strong"
No tears can bring relief.
It must be very difficult
To stand up to the test
And field calls and visitors
So she can get some rest.
They always ask if she's all right
And what she's going through
But seldom take his hand and ask,
"My friend, but how are you?"
He hears her crying in the night
And thinks his heart will break
And dries her tears and comforts her
But "stays strong" for her sake.
It must be very difficult
To start each day anew
And try to be so very brave ~
He lost his baby too. . .

There is a new group starting called 17dads which is being supported by sands and simba (I think). Can't come soon enough, run for dad's just for dad's! Www.17dads.org
