Hello, I have a quick query for pregnant women who own dogs, my dogs flea treatment is Advocate as it also does lungworm and I live in a lungworm hotspot. Apparently there isn't really anything else I can give my dog that isn't a spot on treatment. I can get someone else to put it on but its quite messy and I am still worried it will rub off in the house or on me at some stage, I have been told ok to wash dog after 48 hrs so this is my plan. Just wondered if anyone else is having these worries?

Oh I hadn't thought of that, my dog will prob need treating soon too since flea and tic season will be here soon. Maybe you could speak to your vet about your best option?

Unfortunately my vets weren't that helpful, It seems Advocate is the only option they do for lungworms. I just hope I can manage it by bathing the dog after 48 hrs. still worrying though.

Maybe just get your partner to put it on and bath the dog in 48 hours. I'd prob be careful to wash my hands lots for next few days and wash the dog bed when you bath the dog.

could you where marrygolds and a face mask when putting it on him and confine him to one part of the house till you need to bath him im sure it safe as long as you dont breath it in nd wash your hands thourghly i still deflea my cat i put gloves on nd an apron and a face mask when doing it so it dont go any where on me i also confine it to the bathroom till it soaks in or if i need to bath her

if its a spot on one that you just put on its neck then it shouldnt rub off anywhere it should soak into the skin same with the all over powder as long as its rubbed in to the skin it shouldnt rub off on anything as long as its well rubbed in
