when i get people asking me...what you going to call it if its a boy? then i say aww we are calling him after his dad...i get a few blank looks and then they say oh right.
What on earth is wrong with calling a baby after his dad? my dad is called John samuel and so is my brother and so is his son and my dads dad before that, in fact my nephew is the 9th one in a row.
I just read a post about you are naming an adult not a baby, i havent looked at it like that before, by the way my dp is called Glenn and thats what our boy will be called and it means alot to us so why do people have problems with it? its our baby we will call it what we want.

Gorgeous and means something to you....s*d everyone else, its your choice hun. My name choices are odd, i like Ted and Mabel, really old fashioned, people always stick their noses up, and i think...poo to you!!! :moon:
PS i am 32 not 3 as my language would suggest!! :rotfl:

lol i like Ted, my grandad was called that, why do people always think they can comment on baby names? what if we went....errr to the name they have, they wouldnt like it would they..."oh hi, im susan" and i said..err i dont like that!

seriously just ignore everyone elses opinion when it comes to baby names, if youve definately decided then go for it.
Too many people voice their opinions over a babies name and at the end of the day what does it have to do with them, are they the ones giving birth and having to get up in the middle of the night to feed the baby then care for them over the next 18 years? No, its your baby your choice.
Personally we couldnt name our baby Brian (my DH) if it was a boy as I have 7 Brians in the family and it would be very confusing  .

Although i blimmin hate the name Anna beacause one of my friends through primary / secondary was Anna too, then there was a Hannah i was always called Anna W or just by my maiden surname (whitney) which rhymes with Twitney / Sh*tney..... :rotfl:
I think Glenn is quite unusual nowadays too which is cool! :)
