dont think im gonna explain this too well but here goes.
where i can get hold of one of them pillow/cap thingies you put the babies head on to prevent flat head syndrome?
lyla seems to lie on her left side constantly and im worried about her getting a 'flat head' (sounds terrible), the health vistor said to reposition her but it doesnt seem to work within minutes shes over on her left side if i boulster her a bit she goes mad.
I heard of these things that are new out that are meant to prevent it but cant find them anywhere

In the early weeks babies often favour one side or the other. Its completly normal. Over the course of a few weeks you can help them slowly adjust with repositioning and holding them so the favoured side has the pressure off of it. Also if when you feed you make sure the position you use helps keep baby off the side they sleep on the most. That sort of thing. Perseverance is the key. Your baby is still very small so its worth keep going with repositioning and it should work over the coming few weeks.

Chances are after the first 4-6 weeks baby should then start to turn their head and lie both sides on it. If they don't then you need to keep a close eye and maybe consult HV about what to do next. I'd not worry overly atm but of course if the pillow is safe to use with a newborn and you want to do so then go with it. But encouraging baby to get used to the other side is important.

FWIW Galen favoured one side and I therefore used to put him on his side to sleep during the day and always the side he didn't favour. By 6 weeks he was turning his head both ways just fine. He has no problems with his head at all and its certainly not flat anywhere. The only thing is he has worn away a fair bit of his hair. But it did take about 4 weeks plus before he got out of his preferred side of head habit.

PS, we only got ours on health visitors reccomendation as charlie had started to get a flat patch on his head.

If your LO has no signs of this I really wouldn't worry too much x

her head has started to go a funny shape already so i just want something to stop it.
id seen the goi goi pillows and wasnt keen on them.

Louis has been sleeping on the Goi Goi pillow for almost two months now and I'm quite impressed by the result :D
I bought a small one when he was still in his Moses basket and I'm now using it when he's lying down in his play-gym or changing mat. I also bought a big one for his cotbed but I'm using it under the fitted sheet so he won't move it around during the night
