When i was pregnant with my little boy i suffered with it all over my face and neck and now im worried it will flare up again with this one.

I had it when i was younger but it went when i was about 13. I hate it, its the only bad thing about being pregnant for me.

I cant have steroid creams anymore for it as ive used them to many times of the years.

Any help or advice would be greatly recieved :) x

Hey! I had it in my childhood, and get it in the winter, but since being pregnant I have it all over my hands and it does my head in. I use betnovate but is steroid cream, or doublebase which is on prescription which is a medicated moisteuriser, grab some ofthat which definately helps. Hope this helps :D x

I have the same problem - its flared up again now im pregnant after about 8 years and the doctor told me theres nothing i can do :-(

I get told there is nothing more they can do as ive had every cream going lol but there has to be something.

I tried something called Neem oil which i ordered off the internet and it was great, only problem is it looks greasy and it smells of Gravy lol x

My daugher gets it, she had it realy bad when 4 nths to 2 years, but now not bad at all.
We gokt some free Aveeno cream and it's great, I'm using it for tum to prevent stretch marks and her for her skin, theres not much that her skin won't react to, and this is fine, may be worth a look

Hiya, I get it only once or twice a year, but it has really flared up while pregnant. Eating lots of watermelon, vit c and almonds helps me loads. I find organic baby moisturiser better than emollient cream and e45 bath /shower oil instead of soap. Also a naughty few goes on the sun bed gets rid of it completely, but I only do this if it gets bad, and sun bedding is linked to low folic acid, so if I really need to I'm only going to go on after 12 weeks and up my folic acid intake. I think if I only do 5 mins it won't be much harm. Hope this helps. X

hi i have it all the time but it goes away when im pregnant :) yay but as soon as i give birth a patch appears normally i changed my cream about a year ago to a gel base moisturiser prescribed by the dr and it is fantastic and really helps my skin

midnight what is it called? I use emoliant but anything i use makes me itch. I think its because my skin is that dry its just soaking it up so quickly :( xx

its called double base and is really good it best to get a good 1 for the winter as your skin will be dryer because of the cold, also try not to get too hot like washing with too hot water or baths too hot as this can also agitate the skin as it opens you skin up more also pat dry rather that rub dry hope this helps x

Thanks hun. I find having a hot bath and then rubbing in some cream helps more lol i must be odd. Tried put emoliant on this morning as its looking really bad and its been ok, not as bad as usual :D xx

Aloe vera always helps me, that dovobet which the doc prescribes. I was the opposite to most of you
tho o I found my eczema actually cleared up a little when I was pregnant. Since giving birth though, it's like my skin has gone into overdrive, I've even developed a couple of patches of psoriasis :wall2: doc says it's stress - physical stress of giving birth and emotional stress of being a new mum is a double whammy!

It is so refreshing to hear that I am not the only one suffering with this!

I had it as a child/early teens, then it completely went away. I fell pregnant and it is back with a vengence, as is my asthma!

The cream the Dr is giving me is not helping - Euomovate (just keeping it at bay) But like most of you, it is driving me insane - I forgot how itchy and annoying eczsema is!

its so annoying! especially at night, i wake up to find myself itching myself raw and i dont even know it! Will deffo try the creams x

Mine seems to be going again now, i hope thats not a bad sign :( The nurse at the hospital yesterday did tell me i need to try and get on top of it or it will be so sore.

Can you girls wear your hair down when its bad? I cant and i had my hair cut lovely just before i fell pregnant lol typical xx

awww thats annoying! mines just on my legs really. I used to have it in a few places but for some reason now its just my legs. Thank god its winter now so i can hide them when ive itched too much :-s x

i had it when i was younger but during the last weeks of preggers i got it again, in the same places! (bends of my arms? lol) i find that any sort of cream you put on it helps it cool for a bit but always wanna itch! i got that oilatum emollient that you pour in the bath and i find that really helps. not sure if you can use that tho? hope it doesn't flare up too much! good luck xx

do you have wet or dry eczema as they are 2 different kinds i unluckly have both lol wet if it goes on my fingers and eyes everywhere else dry i am allergic to alot of cosmetics and some creams anthat so have to be really careful with new products im even allergic to suncream :( the key to night time scratching is to not get too hot and maybe where some cotton gloves so if you do itch whilst asleep you dont damage the skin as this is when it becomes inflamed and more irratating some creams you can only use so many times a day so find a really good moisturiser or get the dr to prescribe 1 so you can keep it moisturied especially if it is on your hand as you will be washing them al the time also watch your diet and see what triggers your eczema citrus fruits are a common trigger also prawns is a trigger with me too

I only get dry and i get it in the crease of my arms, my neck and face, my head and sometimes the backs of my legs. I dont have a clue what triggers it lol i just eat and it comes and goes. Its been quite good up untill about a week after i fell pregnant. xx

weird how some flare up when pregnant and some have the oppisite effect

My boyfriend suffers really bad, 70% of his body is covered in it, its such a shame. He uses Diprobase all day everyday, baths with emollient and has many steroid creams, but the only thing that helps him is a holiday! salty sea water and warm rays! so I think you need a good holiday! Its for your health!)
