So went to the doctors about my cold and cough that I have had what seems a lifetime. Also a sore ear. I knew nothing could be done about the cold. But the doctor said that my ear drum is about to pop, lovely. So I have anti biotics. I've never experienced this before. Will the anti biotic stop it from popping or will it pop anyways? Xx

If it's about to burst it's because you have an infection behind the drum. The antibiotics may stop the infection from bursting the ear drum, or it still may happen, but the antibiotics should help clear the gunk up quicker.
