Do you wake them?

Ok ladies, it's been so long since I last bf'd, I'm sure things/advice has changed. My question is....do you need to wake your lo to feed, or is it best to let them just feed on demand. If you wake them to feed in the day, do you do the same at night and how often?

Hey I was told by the midwife to feed at least every 4 hours for the first few days and after that just feed on demand xx

We had to wake to feed every 3 hours until she got back to her birth weight but not after that. She started demanding feeds more often after that anyway, but if she had a long sleep we didn't worry.

We had to feed every 2 hours to begin with as he was very tiny & lost alot of initial weight. After that (about 2 weeks) we just fed on demand though x

We just demand feed after the first couple of days or if I was going out I might do a top up feed before I left the house (or car lol) Xx
