Do I try or wait a few days?

So, going by my OPK's I seem to ovulate 4 days after my period finishes. Going by that I would be having my surge on Sunday.....now my other half very rarely gets in the mood so I have to be choosey on when to DTD.

So, do I aim for tonight and hope I do ovulate on Sunday and hope the sperm survives long enough, or do I hold out on it til sunday? Done an OPK today, well 2 and both showed just faint lines, they haven't gotten darker yet.

Thanks
x

P.s. Can't do Saturday night as I'll be working late and won't be home til early hours of Sunday morning

Sperm can last up to 7 days so you could be covered if you go early. I would probably say Sunday because Ovulation occurs 12-36 hours after the LH surge, so you might be closer to catching the egg then :) fingers crossed for you

I'm hoping I can get away earlier tonight from work and he's still awake when I get home.

So it means I can do 2/3 OPK tests today in work to cover myself right up until the evening as I find I can have a surge from midday to eve and it's still there the next morning but then it dies off so after that I ovulate, problem is holding the wee in haha

i would go early. i conceived my last baby on about CD7.....!

Well we haven't DTD yet but I did two OPK's today....one darkish and the second was definatly a LH surge, so must aim to DTD tonight

My fertility doc said sperm lasts 2-3 days usually...so sunday is ideal. If you are struggling to get your OH to participate, I recommend AI (artificial insemination)...it's less effort for the bloke and you can time it perfectly. We got pregnant using it, although lost it. You want to get the sperm in there before ovulation.
