.......to fly to Belfast?? (Flying from UK)

I haven't had a new passport in my married name due to it costing £60 so wanted to save getting that sorted until I actually needed one to use to make the most out of my 10 years with it.

Also, if I do need a passport, does anyone know how long they take? I fly on November 28th :D

Thank you :)

I think you do need it.

Have you booked the tickets yet? If not, book it in your maiden name.... or if you have I think if you take your passport you have plus your marriage certificate that works too.... best to call whichever airline you are flying with.

if you do the check and send service at the post office it
should take 2 weeks officially but my friend just got hers back in a week,
as its a simple name change it should be quick.
i just sent mine off and i'm flying to kerry on the 21st :/
i only saw that it expired a few days ago..havent used it in like 3 yrs lol

Passport is now £72 hun but if you send this week you will be ok took ours about 10 days to come back

You might get away with a photo driving licence- maybe check the small print of whoever you are booked with

Hmmmmm....dilemma dilemma.

I might just book the ticket in my maiden name
Going to book the tickets today, need to call the airlne to check re: buggy & car seat anyway (not sure if we'll get charged extra for taking them with bmi baby) so will perhaps run it past them.

as sarah (i think) said.. take your marriage certificate, and your maiden named passport, thats what i do.. and also book tickets in your maiden name.. thats fine.. its so annoying that they charge you when changing the name on your passport.. ive still got 3 years on mine.. and they are deleted.. my aunties gettign married in march and she has 7 years on hers.. well.. i look at it.. we probably arnt going abroad again for 3 years so i will wait and get it re-done then..?

We didn't pay any extra to get Jake's and OH's passports to come quicker and they took 1 1/2 weeks.

I'd book ticket in your maiden name just to be safe if you haven't booked it yet.

Good luck phoning BMI for the luggage advice- I phoned a few weeks ago to see how pregnant they let you fly so I could fly to glasgow to visit my parents and it was sooo confusing all the phone options etc to get through to the right people :x

Yeah I have 3 years left on my passport, it is annoying that you have to pay to change your name on it :x oh well, I'll just book in my maiden name, that way i can still make use of them 3 years.

Sounds like I'm going to need a lot of patience when calling.....I wonder if they have email enquiry?

Might have to have an investigate with that one

hi hun i got a new passport in may and got married in august (only booked wedding 3 weeks before we got married) and i am just going to book everything in my maiden name until it runs out
