... hospitals in terms of booking in for induction? If I don't go beforehand I will be due to be induced on Easter Sat/Sun and someone's told my mum they will do it early or late due to the bank holiday! I hadn't really considered this as I assumed hospitals just operated as normal. Anyone got any idea? xx

Oh I'm not sure. My hospital mw appointment is later though cos they won't do appointments on the bank holiday but that may be totally different as its just an appointment x

This person told my mum they have a skeleton staff on bank hols and so wont do induction unless medically necessary! i can see me having the longest pregnancy in the history of the world! lol x

I'm due on Easter Sunday....I guess they may work with slightly less staff because people will have booked holidays, but they must need a certain amount. I would assume it's like A & E...it has to run as normal...but they may just cover emergencies only....not sure though xx

I know with my last baby I was due 6th Jan and went in 2 weeks early to be induced they were going to induce me xmas eve think thati still classed as a holiday day, then i wasnlt ready so theyplanned new years eve to induce but i went myself 27th dec. Doctor told me they still class them as normal days, he was so determined for me to have a xmas baby or new year baby. so i think it may depend on hospital.
