Well.. I'll say that cautiously as its only been two days and two nights.
As some of you may be aware I was having to get up 2-3-4 times a night to pop his dummy back in, as he'd woken and couldnt sleep without it. Usually slept from 7pm till 5-6am had a bottle and back down for another hour or two. Not to bad considering.
However, the constant waking to walk accross the hall and put his dummy in, to walk back was doing my head in... I decided that dummyless was the way forward - I never wanted to use one, but it seemed to help in the begining, especially with his reflux etc. But, my own fault im sure, he became dependant on it for sleeping.
1st Night, bed at 7pm. Awake at half 9, winged for about 20mins, I went in every 5 mins, stroked him, patted him, shhhush'd him. Back off to sleep before 10pm. I hurd him fussing at about half 2am, seemed like I blinked and it was 6am, he was awake wanting milkys!! Not bad 1st night.
2nd Night, bed at 7pm. Woke at 10ish, winged for 8 mins, I went in again and stroked, patted etc, only had to do it once though, as he was sleeping. I hurd him winge at half 2, but I think it was in his sleep, next thing I know its 7am and hes not even crying, but kicking about in his cot, jabbering to himself.
Soooooo, Im hoping that the half 2am waking gets quieter and quieter, so it stops disturbing me
