Hello all you mummys to be. Finally I’m feeling a little more confident after getting a bfp the other day so I should probably move across to this section now. I did a digi on Wednesday but only got a 1-2 wks so was a bit disheartened as I estimated I was over 4 weeks pregnant then. Anyway my lines seem to be progressing on normal tests so fingers crossed.

Congratulations to you.
Just to let you know a digi only tells you dates from conception hence the reason you would have only got 1-2 weeks but you would actually be pregnant from the first day of your last period.
Hope that makes sense x

That’s a fabulous line, especially for a cheapie test, I think my line looked like that when I was well over 5 weeks and I’m 29 weeks now, it’s so easy to get paranoid about whether lines are getting darker or not, ttc makes us all a bit crazy, but you are definitely pregnant lol congratulations xx

Firstly congratulations!

The digital clear blue testa are a few weeks behind the lmp estimation. Digitals state how many weeks since conception actually occurred. In reality from conception to birth is approx 38 weeks, but because its counted from the last day of period it includes the 2 weeks before conception making it 40 weeks. Does that make sense?

1-2 weeks on the digi translates as 3-4 weeks pregnant, 2-3 is 4-5 weeks, and 3+ is 5 weeks or over, I think what she is saying is that she expected to get 2-3 weeks as she estimates she is over 4 weeks pregnant

Wouldn’t worry about it at all though, the weeks indicator thing has shown to be unreliable for lots of women and is literally only an estimator, depends on concentration of your urine too, and unless you tempted to confirm ovulation you can never really be sure how many DPO you are anyway x

Thank you all, how lovely to have so many replies already. I understand how a digi works, I just expected to get a 2-3wks at over 4 weeks. I have one digi left so I’m trying to hold off with it because if I don’t see what I want I will have a major panic.

Yeah I would hold off with it for another 7 days and do it then, I know how you feel, my heart used to literally stop while I was waiting for the weeks to come up! Your latest test looks great xx

Yes the lines have been progressing well up to now. I’ve got to save my digi as long as I can, before I give into temptation anyway. My husband said I’m not allowed anymore of those lol.x

It just shows that they aren’t completely accurate so don’t look too much into them x

Congratulations! Does the two week part matter a lot to you? Did your other children come right on time, early or late?

No it doesn’t matter a lot to me, it just puts my mind at ease. With my chemicals I never got past a 1-2 wks on a digi so when I got a 3+ it was like a sigh of relief as it means the pregnancy is hopefully progressing.
My two boys were both 2 weeks late, my daughter (the youngest) was early but only because I was induced with her due at 37 wks due to reduced movement.x
