Harleys got his first jabs in a hr. Dior was terrible when she had hers she had a hight temperature for days and seemed so poorly
will they give me calpol for him? even though he is under 3months?
i hope hes ok i cant be doing with a poorly baby in this heat

was your baby under the weather after first Jabs?

Hiya hun

Brody was fine but they told me to give him calpol as soon as he'd had them...I waited anyway and he was OK with it.

He'll be ok to have 2.5 of Calpol but they won't give it him, you have to use your own.

I'd double check with the nurse but have some ready just in case.

Ella didn't have a temp, but was a bit grouchy. I gave her some calpol and she slept for ages :)

Hey, if he gets upset after his jabs you can give him the boobie ;) :D That always calmed Ella down straight away :)

matthew was ok after the first set but you could give calpol i think anyway thats what they tell you when they do them. the 2nd and 3rd set matthew had a bit of a temp but apparently its more common because the virus is effectively being topped up :D

poor Harley aint been good with his jabs
he was crying unconrolible for hrs i couldnt comfort him :( he was hot sweaty so i gave him a bath fresh pjs and some calpol hes been asleep now for 4 hrs..

for the first time every he aint woke after 3hrs for a feed

Poor chap :( I would have thought that as he was a bit prem he would have them at his corrected age? :? If Sami is reading this when did Damien have his?

He had them at his actual age, not his corrected age. He had a temperature everytime he had his jabs, but I gave him one dose of calpol as soon as I could after his jabs, and another dose 4 hours later just to keep him going.

Give him a squidge from me xx

i thought this with Dior as she was prem to but i was told no matter how prem they are they will have it 8weeks after birth as its from the day they are born that they start loosing the goodness we gave them in the whom and wil need toping up by 8weeks.

i gave Harley some medicine (medised, i swear by the stuff) he slept for 6 hrs  well theres a first for evey thing.... i might do a lil Mo and give it him every night

Hi hun how prem was dior and harley? Adele was 12 weeks prem and didnt get her first jabs till she was 18 weeks old :? i was told on the first visit from the health visitor that prem babies get their jabs 8 weeks from their actuall due date :? because it was one of the things i was worried about when she was in the neonatal ward i kept asking when she getting her jabs but it wasnt till 6 weeks after she was discharged from the hospital she got them.
maybe it just depends on where u live and what practice u are with.
Hope he feels better soon i know how terrible it is when there is nothing u can do to comfort them. Colby has her second lot today :(

I think maybe it depends how prem they are? Damien was 6 weeks prem, Harley and Dior were both 5 weeks prem, but all 3 were at good weights when born, and all were discharged from hospital in a week or less. Wheras Adele I'm sure had much more of a fight on her hands born at 28 weeks, so maybe they waithed till her body was ready to cope with the injections?

But like you say, it could be something to do with the area's too.

im pretty sure your right sami on them waiting to see when her body could cope or not. who knows really :?

im so dreading when adele has to get her pre school booster though  the docs will have a fight on their hands that day cos no way will she sit they will have to pin her down i'll makesure OH takes her as i will be crying to seeing her so frightend

wow didnt know adele was that prem. how heavy was she? so you no why you had her so prem? bet she was a lil dot.
Did you have colby prem?

my waters broke at 26 weeks with adele and went into prem labourat 29 weeks. They told me that when i found out i was pg with adele i would misscarry as my body wouldnt be able to cope with the shock of labour  then they told me that if i went through with it i was putting my life at risk  as u can tell i didnt listen tp any of themm and carried on with the pregnancy. Having alot of bleeding and in a lot of pain all the way through. and then having to have a blood transfusion after my waters broke then having her at 29 wks and she weighed 2lbs 10oz and was just so tiny and such a little fighter :) she only spent 2 days in intensive care and the rest of the time she spent in a room with other babies and shes just our miricle baby i guess :D

I had to be induced with Colby as i was so uncomfortable and felt my pelvice was going to snap in 2 so after alot and alot of moaning they finnaly told me i would be induced on my due date so she was born on the 21st of march her due date.

But none more for me :)

wow adele the lil fighter
