Did you tell anyone you were ttc?

I am contemplating telling my mum that hubby and I are trying to conceive. She has been hinting constantly that she would like more grandchildren (my brother has 3 kids) - and keeps reminding me that I am not young anymore (I am 33 and hubby is 35). Hubby and I have been trying for the last 5 months to conceive but have been keeping this to ourselves. My mum also misses me terribly as I am living overseas in London (1 year through a 2 year work secondment), but the idea is that we would return to Australia sooner if I was pregnant - which I would be happy with.

My question is what has everyone else done - kept it a secret from family that they were trying? Told people they were trying? what were your experiences from that?

didnt the first time, infact made out it was all a surprise. 2nd time my mum knew and she would be asking me if i had come on everyday like by cd15 !
