Have just been speaking to a friend of mine, and thought for those of you who didn't know...

you can get Gaviscon on prescription!!! Having not lived in England for the last 9 years or so, I don't know how this works etc but I know that down here in Wales we get prescriptions for free so here goes to saving a few pennies!

Plus - with any paid prescriptions in England... maybe doctor can give you several lots of Gaviscon on same prescription? Therefore saving money? Do pregnant women even pay for prescriptions? I don't know!

However, for those that it may apply to, I thought you'd like to know!

Yeah I've got a massive bottle of it on prescription,should about £10 for the bottle I've got sonwas v pleased x x

And pregnant women get free preseiption til babys a year old,and free dental treatment x

couldn't remember if it was free prescriptions or not... wanted to let everyone know though! I'm well happy... off to doc I trot tomorrow to get my supplies in xx

Yeah it is free prescriptions for pregnant women, but otherwise you pay for each item on the prescription in England. So if you had one prescription with 3 items you would pay for each item!
