Dont know if anybody/everybody is familar with him but I went to see him on Tuesday night he was at St Georges hall in Bfd, unfortunatly no one came to speak to me, or if they did there was no time (there were hundreds in the audience). He was very good with the people he did speak to thought and im pretty sure they were not plants. We went last time and he spoke to a 90 odd year old woman who could barley remember family members names who'd died (her daughter had to keep telling her who they were bless) so there is no way she was a plant so I think I believe in what he can do.

im very tempted to get a medium and have a party and get a reading.

Has anyone else had a proper one, where dead family / loved ones have actually come forward and spokent to you?

I've always been into things like this, and i went along to one not long after my mum had died and things she said was spot on. Thinking about giong to another one soon to see if she comes through again, as it does put your mind at ease.

Yeh he is from Most Haunted and now he does Ghost Towns (which Ive never seen)

My friend had one and her dad had died and she said the guy was spot on. I think its £20 per person if you throw a party but max of 6. When I get a house rather then an appt I think I might throw a party - knowing my luck though no one will want to speak to me lol

I have to say I found it all very interesting, intill I saw Daren Brown do a program exposing it all, he said it was all trickery, and to prove it he did it himself infront of a load of prefessional mediums, just picking normall people and giving them messages with amazing accuracy, that they didnt understand how he could possibly know, really presonal stuff. Fooled all the mediums into believing that he to had this 'gift' and confessed that it was all trickery, and that all mediums do, its all tricks and manipulation. So now to be honest I think its all rather sick to lead people on it that way.

My mum is quite a spiritulist person and goes too meetings/church etc. One time they all went down to Pendennis Castle for some spirit thing i dunno but anyway they were told that the people from most haunted had been at pendennis castle the previous week and how it was all a set up and derek accorah was a fake!! since then they have not invited the crew back as they were surprised at how fake it all really was.
For example they would have someone stood behind a door and slam it and make out it was a ghost/spirit etc ! another person from the crew would make noise or whistle etc ! so bascally all what you see on most haunted is all a set up !!!!

Messiah was a one-off rather than a series, as was The Heist and Russian Roulette (and The Seance).

His series' were Trick of the Mind (3 series in all, I think).

I think it's great that he exposes these people for what they are. I've lost people close to me and I think it's disgusting that there are people out there that pray on people's grief for either money/television ratings. They should be banged up.

All you really need to know is that the show in which he reproduces what psychics claim to do is called The Seance.

Russian Roulette was exactly as it sounds - he supposedly had to guess which chamber of a gun held a bullet and fired the chambers he thought were empty at his head.

Messiah went about looking into religion and challenging peoples' beliefs through his use of trickery.

The Heist is where he managed to persuade a group of people to carry out a robbery, without them knowing it was him planting the idea in their heads.

The Trick of the Mind Series is a bunch of magic tricks and illusions.

He really is a master at what he does. You should try to catch him next time he's on tv.

EDIT: Now you really will be confused, I'm saying it's The Seance, Cat&Noah's saying it's Messiah. I think that in Messiah he does also delve into spiritualism as part of challenging peoples' beliefs.

i really love most haunted and derek used to come up with some really spot on facts and stuff..i believed him but i also thought he exaggerated with the possesions etc.
but i heard that he got sacked for faking stuff!! the medium on there now david wells is very good aswell.

i do believe in the things that are happening but also they freak themselves out a lot with noises etc that could be explained plus as you've said derren brown has done the same sort of things..with regard to readings etc and says its nothing paranormal..so you never know!! i just keep an open mind tbh i believe in ghosts, a few strange things have happened to me that i cant find explanation for but perhaps its things that science cant yet explain..other dimensions or something.

yeh I saw the seance one, thats not what Derek did. He didnt trick people in to thinking things like Derren did on that programme. He was mentioning things to people about what only they would know about there own personal family i.e one lads dad was called stevie boy by his mates, he died when a car fell on him, he came to talk to his son and derek said ''who is stevie boy, still in the living'' and the lad said it was his little son and he had called him stevie boy after his dad. How can he guess that?

yeah but derren has done another programme not the seance one, where he did readings for ppl the way derek does and ppl like colin fry..and he was also coming up with spot on facts..he admits theres nothing supernatural about what he did but thats not to say derek and other mediums arent real..i think it just exposes that there are fakes that ppl pay a lot of money to!
