I had the depo injection 4 weeks ago for the 1st time. The week after i started getting brown bloody discharge (TMI, sorry). I'm still getting it now. Is this normal? I thought to start with it was the start of my period, but it has stayed like it. The 1st couple of weeks it was like every other day. Now it's all the time!
Just wondering whether to bother having it again. Thanks in advance.

I was on the depo for about six years before i had Calleigh and if i remember correctly i did get some disharge to start with then i never had any periods again whilst on the jab.

I think with the depo you can have irregular bleeding, if you are happy with using that form of contraception then continue with it and see how it goes. Your body is probably adjusting to the jabs hormones.

I personally wouldnt use it again as it did give me nasty side affects which i didnt associate with the depo till i came off it.

As charlie said. I the jab after a miscarriage and when I stopped bleeding from that I never got anything.

I can't remember discharge but I did get some very nasty side effects as well, namely not able to have sex for 18 months  I hope you don't get any, but if anything strange happens in the next three months be aware that it might be caused by the depo, as I didn't click on  so kept on having problems!!
