I really don't think you're being unreasonable. It's hard when you're about to have a baby and your mum lives away (mine does) But this is a huge change that is happening to you! It's a massive thing, some sensitivity wouldn't go amiss. It's hard being 9 months pregnant let alone being overdue. And a mother should always be aware that babies don't come on time.
