Hi!
It's my first too hun- and it's scary I know, but don't put too much pressure on yourself to be perfect and do everything textbook!
I am 11+2 and I remember feeling really tired and sick initially. I used to be at the gym 3 times a week but I just had no energy at all and I only ate whatever I fancied- which wasn't always particularly healthy. Sometimes I just felt so wiped out that I didn't have the energy to 'be healthy' by getting exercise and eating the right things. Now that the sickness has settled a bit more and although I am tired a lot it isn't as bad, I feel I am more able to think consciously about what I can realistically do in terms of exercise and what I eat.

I think as long as you are taking your folic acid, trying to drink plenty, eat what you can and rest you can't ask anymore of yourself. I've discovered it's a really, really hard time to go through but it will get better hun and when you've seen your midwife you can ask loads of questions and put your mind at ease. Listen to your body and it will tell you what you need. You are not an idiot hun, just the same as the rest of us trying to work our way through this exciting but challenging time.

Hope you feel better soon and if you have any specific questions just ask- the girls on here are always really helpful and share their experience xxxx

I would carry on with multi vits, can you get pregnacare or something? All I would do is relax, eat as healthily as you can ie fresh fruit and veg and drink plenty too. Get rest when you need it xx

I would go with pregnacare as it's more focused on your needs as a pregnant woman and helps with supplying the baby with what it needs for brain/spinal development xx

Thank you hun, that is such a relief to here.
I've tried to keep myself awake, not feeling as tired now! :D
Going to sleep soon and get up fairly early, then off to my parents house I think.

I think I was feeling a bit down earlier because I was dehydrated. I was craving a big cold glass of water and once I had one, I felt much better.
I won't take any vitamins or anything until I see my midwife :)

Thank you so much! & good luck to you for the rest of your pregnancy. It's quite a rollercoaster isn't it. xxx

Certainly is!!......Mmmmmmm....a big cold glass of water, that sounds lush! I am craving ice cold drinks at the mo! lol!

Yeh, I think once you have seen the midwife you'll get loads of info on what to eat/not to eat and drink, exercise, rest, etc and you'll feel much more in the know...I know I did! Hopefully the appointment will be here before you know it! xxx

Midwife told me the other day to steer clear of normal multi vitamins as they contain Vitamin A which is not good in full doses when pregnant!
I take Pregnacare with the added Omega 3. So maybe take something like that, or Sanatogen also do a range :)

I'm the same... could sleep on pins at the moment!. House is starting to look a bit of a state but managed to get a bit of polishing and tidying done but not attempting the hoovering ;)

Couldn't agree more with this. xx

Just take folic acid or pregnacare, not normal multi vit. I felt sick and couldnt take pregnacare so just took folic acid. Take it easy and best of luck!
