How did Evie's op go? Hope her tongue isn't too sore.

It wasn't very nice. I cried last night and cried again on the way in the car! Then I cried as he prepped us for the procedure! I was a mess today lol

The doc sent me to a little side ward thing to get prepared to BF immediately after the snip while they asked my step Dad (who was my buddy as he wasn't working today) to come with him and help with snipping Evie's tongue...

I was sitting in the side ward humming loudly so that I didn't hear her cry or anything... And I did! Tears just poured... It was terrible. (I later found out that she started crying when they tried to take her coat off ) so it wasn't the "snip" that started her off! Glad it wasn't the pain.

When Martin (my step dad) brought her to me after the procedure, he had tears all down his face! He told me he was just gutted because he wasn't expecting to play such a big part in it. He had to hold her head tight while the doc cut her tongue, he said that she just kept looking up at him while she was crying as if to say "Grandad, you're supposed to protect me!"

I think it's too early to tell. Either that or my nipples are still too damaged to see a difference.

I mean, her tongue is coming slightly further out I suppose, but it still hurts my nipples to feed

Aww slather your nips in lansinoh or Vaseline, I hope they feel less sore soon I bet you she'll be feeding like a natural once the soreness fades Fingers crossed for you

Tia gave the same look when she had her lumber punctures... it was awful... Worse than the actual lumber punctures...

I hope it gets better for you soon Dannii and that Miss Evie responds well... I think your nipples might just still be sore, but you should find that they improve now rather than just get more and more painful... Well I hope so... you and Evie deserve it.
