Does anyone here cycle/did cycle whilst pregnant?

I don't really want to give it up because it is good exercise, but obviously don't want to jeopardise the bean.

i was cycling, my doctor said that the only reason to not do it is to not fall, so if you dont off road and you are really careful you should be fine. also you shouldn't exercise at the level that you get too hot or you are too tired to talk while you are doing it.

I cycled up until a week ago (34 weeks) and that was only cause my Mum begged me to and i live in central London. I made sure i slowed down though and took it easy - no racing through Amber traffic lights!

I was advised not to cycle - as mentioned above, incase you fall, it could be life or death for baby if you come off the bike, i'd say its not worth it. stick to the exercise bike...which there's no reason you cant use as long as you dont over-strain yourself.

:)

It's a little complicated for me as I am a keen MTBer so trail riding is obviously out. I was thinking of getting rid of my spds as they have caused me to fall off (actually had a fall before I found out I was pregnant) and so are too risky. The doctor told me last time it was fine to cycle (I commute to work) but I really want to be out on the moors but I'm not sure I should. Aaaargh decisions.

I cycled till 6 months to work and back and really enjoyed it but decided to stop in case I fell off and due to peer pressure. I didn't go fast but I was on the road.
