cream before jabs

i have just found out girls that u can buy cream from the chemist to put on your little ones an hour before they have their jabs and it numbs the area so they dont feel it, i had never heard of this before http://www.forparentsbyparents.com/info ... _emla.html

they give them the cream when they go into hospital. didnt know that you could buy it though.

My doctor routinely puts that cream on babies for jabs.

we use that at work - im a vet nurse and are always putting it on the animals before we jab em!
I stole a tube from work to use on leah before she had/has her jabs
Great stuff, she just sits there smiling and cant feel a thing

yeah thats what i noticed too, that sucks! most jabs are done before 1!!

I used to get it all the time before I get blood tests as my veins are so deep!

I had to have this during pregnancy as every time they tried to take blood I passed out

It is amazing stuff, I used to sweet talk the midwifes in the hospital at routine appointments and they'd slip me a tube
