Cramps, pain

Hi
I am at 16, almost 17 weeks.
The last few days i have been having a lot of pain in the sides, and also if i sneeze hard i get pain in the lower abdomen - where baby is.
I have no bleeding, and the pain and discomfort comes and goes throughout the day.
Is this just the uterus expanding? I expected more a tight, stretching feeling not pain.

Hiya,

I get cramps all the time but i think mine is more related to my crohns disease. If you are concerned i'd speak with your midwife but im sure its perfectly normal.

I get the pain when I sneeze all the time, but less in my lower abdomen but more in my pelvis. Always feels like my legs are about to pop out. From what I understand it's perfectly normal as the ligaments soften and stretch. A bit annoying though.

If you're too worried just ask your midwife, she'll be able to calm you down.

I get those feeling deep in my pelvis when I sneeze or cough hard sometimes. A few times they have been so horrible they have made me cry.

i got those too, i'm pleased to say they do sort of go away though! i don't think i've had them for a while now

I have them too! I hate sneezing! As I still get them! I also get an almost constant like stitch pain now!

LOL You might start getting them again! TBH though my beely hurts most of the time!

I get sharp pains sometimes when I sneeze or cough. I must admit I was a wee bit worried when it first started happening but I'm comfortable its normal. However if you feel very worried then call your midwife for advice, mine keeps stressing to me to call them if I ever feel worried about anything.

I get stitch like pains when I turn over in bed Coz thats a lot of effort isnt it
