Council houses - joint names?

I've just been awarded priority off the council for a 2 bed house as I'm going to be homeless at end of May. Last year I joined my name up with OH on housing register, so when we were awarded priority it was for both of us.

My relationship is very unstable at the moment and I'm miserable and eventually gonna pluck up the courage to leave. I need to pick my time to do it, but if were given a house in both our names - this will become impossible.

Does anyone know if once we move into the council house, will I be able to take OH's name off it? I just want it to be mine and Noahs house.

Inform the council now. Your actual circumstances wont have changed apart from that so it shouldn't effect ur points ect.

It doesn't really matter anyway, it depends who signs the tennency agreement, and if he doesn't sign it then he's not a joint tenant.
