Not Evelyn, don't worry!

Took Evie to the docs today as both her eyes have been weeping since Sat morning. This morning they said they only had appointments to see the nurse but she'd be able to prescribe any meds if needed so that was fine.

Evie was rooting for a feed (plus she'd got herslef worked up after being examined) so I gave her a feed and afterwards she was fine.

Then...the nurse had the cheek to tell me that i'm going to have to think about starting to wean my daughter off the breast as 'obviously' I don't want an 18 month old running around tugging at my top all the time for comfort feeds! She must've known she'd crossed the line by the look on my face as she was then like "I'm pro breastfeeding myself, I fed my first until he was 6 months but not my second - just might be worth thinking about." If she wasn't so polite about it i'd have screamed at her!!
Who is she to tell me when to wean MY daughter off the breast!! Aaaaaaargh!

And the best bit was that she couldn't prescribe me the meds I needed so I cancelled our original appointment with the doc for tomorrow for no effing reason!! PLEB!!!!!

Lol that subject title was a bit worrying!

Some people just have no tact don't they? I let most people's opinions go straight over my head now otherwise I think I'd be annoyed at someone all the time lol!

I wouldn't have minded but she's meant to be a health professional! Muppet! Any silly comments I normally let go over my head but it wasn't her place to voice such an unthoughtful opinion. Lol.

Oh dear! Hope Evelyn is ok and you get the treatment she needs. You should do what you feel is right. Not what someone else thinks is right.

Tasha I got told by the family health worker who came to my house that I need to think about giving him formula instead of breast milk at 6 months because formula's got all the vitamins in it that he needs!

I was absolutely f***ing furious! She also told me baby led weaning was a waste of time and if I wanted my baby to sleep through I should start weaning him next week!!!

The lack of consistency with advice from so called healthcare 'professionals' these days is shocking.

The GP I saw yesterday basically told me I was putting Blake's life at risk because I don't drink cow's milk. And also she basically implied that it was foolish to bring up a baby a vegetarian as his iron levels would be life threatening! My iron levels have been better that your average meat eater throughout my whole pregnancy and I get calcium elsewhere in my diet thank you very much.

GRRRRRRRRRR!!! Bloody doctors/nurses!

Total idiots! I think I was that shocked when she came out with it that my anger didn't show until I got home and mulled it over! Grrrrr!

A friend of mine is a veggie and everyone worried about her when she was pregnant for some unknown reason. She was the fittest in our office! lolx
