Hello all,

This is my first post in this forum. My fiancee and I had unprotected sex last Saturday, the 14th, and we think she might have had her ovulation at that time. She's been feeling sick now for 5 days. It started Monday morning, but it's a different kind of sickness, without actually having any tummy problems or anything. It's more like a heartburn feeling. She also has lower back pain for 2 days now, is starting to feel very tired, and she's having slight cramps in her lower tummy since yesterday.

She said she doesn't have any of the symptoms she normally has when she is due on, like sore breasts or stains.

We have bought a First Response pregnancy test today and it was negative, but we are still wondering if it was maybe too early for a test, since it's only been 5 1/2 days since we had sex.

Thanks for your help.

Mark

It's too early for you to tell, Test on the day her period is due.
Wait a week and do another test. good luck

If you had unprotected sex and her period hasn't yet started then there is definitely a chance that she is pregnant. It's difficult to say whether the symptoms she is experiencing are due to a pregnancy as everyone is different and there are many other causes of nausea and stomach cramps. I know it seems like time passes so slowly in these situations, but all I can suggest is that you wait a little longer before testing again. False negatives are common, particularly early on.

Sorry if this isn't much help! Good luck and I hope you both get the outcome you want.

Oh, and welcome to the forum

I would say that it was way too early to test. Usually its better to wait until the day her period would be due. First response ones are only really accurate on the day of the missed period and thereafter. Good luck!

hey mark yeah you'll have to wait a few weeks yet! are you's trying for a baby? theres not point testing yet it wont show up yet

xx
