Are they a good idea? I don't want Rubie to become dependant on one to get to sleep...

Any experience or advice on this???

Thanks

i cot the both Dior loved her cot light that played songs she looked at it and smiled at it, i used it for fun rather then bed Time else yh i think they would depend on it,like in the morning when we would lay in bed together ild put her light on and she would coo at it, i got her a cot mobile but it kept her awake as she just wanted to pull it down and play with it..

but i do think they look nice

Kacy loves her mobile she will lie their when i putting her down looking up at it waiting for it to come on.

I never had any of them. It never occurred to me till she was older and then she didnt need them but I always left her door open a bit and the hall light on.

Yeah Laura that's what I do. I suppose if she settles well without it, there's no point in introducing it...

Damien doesn;t have one, we just have the shaving light on in the bathroom across the landing and Damien sleeps in our room. Think a cot mobile would send me crackers in my room! I think they are a lovely idea though, but I don't think I would ever include it in a bedtime routine, sod walking up the stairs every 5 minutes to re-wind it up to play the tune again.

I have one with a remote control lol

But I've never used it at bedtime, just for play time

diors one is sensored so every time she crys it would come on, but that also means every time i coughed sneezed got up to go the loo....

oh the tune still haunts me

LOL Dionne.

Think I may be living back in the 90's when you got wind up ones (my baby sister had one - she is 7 years younger than me) forgot technology has moved on since then!! lol

lol dionne
B has a whinnie the pooh nite thing and i h8 the stupid thing send me to sleep but not him lol

Daniel had a wind up lights on the ceiling thing but we ended up taking the bulb out so it didn't light up - he used to stay awake to watch it. Callum and Charlotte were ok with it, but we've had to take it away from Alex.

I love it though, it's exactly the same tinkly tinkly sound of brahms lullaby that I had when I was a baby. Whenever I'm feeling really down and could do with a mummy hug, I switch it on for me

yh thats the one dior has winni the pooh one

I definatley recommend the Ocean Wonders one from Fisher Price. Heidi Loves it and it has given me some more snippets of sleep over the past few weeks.

It was so good we are going to buy the swing as well!
