Cooled boiled water

Hi,

I was wondering when would be ok to start giving this to baby as i dont want to keep feeding him if he's actually thirsty!

Any ideas?

I was told i could give it to my LO when he was 3 weeks old. he was overfeeding and making himself sick so we settled him with the water.
