Having a bit of a bad night Alex wants to suckle all the time, if i let him he will stay on there for well over an hour before it gets to much for me and i break the latch. But within minutes he wants to go back on.

I have tried swapping breasts, massaging them ... He just won't let go. Midwifes have checked and he is latching on properly so i know its not that. He just won't let go.

Please tell me this won't last forever as i dont think i can do it for much longer and its not even been a week :-(

How old is LO? On the assumption hes quite young, he is just cluster feeding to increase your supply hun it's totally normal and won't last forever. As long as he's getting wet and dirty nappies, it's just to up your supply :) just curl up on the sofa with some snacks and good telly :) xx

Thats really helpful into hun thanks. I just Googled cluster feeding and it ticks all the boxes, he slept really well last nightt but has been so demanding this evening. It says your milk supply is lower in the evenings which is when they tend to want more feeds x

Yep totally normal! Curl up on the sofa hun or lie down on the bed and feed, get a good book... Keep yourself amused lol! Is your OH about to wait on you and bring you things :) good luck xx

Completely normal hun like the others have said... Just Go with the flow and relax as best you can.

Baby is establishing supply and unfortunately this is best done at night.

If your oh is off on paternity leave make the most of it and make sure you do nothing suing the day apart from relax and feed baby. Things will settle down soon xxxx

Well done on the bf so far xxx

Hugs Hun I know it's tough but if will get easier. As the others said it is cluster feeding to establish your supply. Think if it as LO putting his milk order in for the following day.

Xx

Totally normal hun, sounds like your doing fab. bf is really hard work at the start but once your supply is established it gets much easier

well done. xx
