Hi,

I'm CD13. My cycles are 31 days and the last 2 months I've ovulated around on cd18-19.
Yesterday (cd12) I got the flashing smiley on the clear blue and a negative on a "normal" ovulation test. I'm so confused my fertile window doesn't start until tomorrow and I'm expected to ovulate on the 2nd March.. A couple days ago I had egg white (cd10) mucus but nothing since then.. Isn't this weird??

I sometimes get some EWCM, although cloudy, after AF and then nothing til mid month. I have never used clear blue so dont know why you have one pos and one neg test...that's so weird. It can help after you've been charting your cycles for a while ... if they are always 31 days then it does seem unlikely that you'd ovulate now. Although it's posible to ovulate more than once a month. If you can dtd every 2-3 days then you are covered anyway.

If I remember correctly Clear Blue steady face indicates ovulation but the flashing smiley shows that you are approaching ovulation? I used CB when trying for DD and they were pretty accurate. I used them alongside the cheap Ebay once that are actually also pretty good.

Good luck x

This month I had flashing smileys for 5 days before getting solid smiley. The opk was negative until the day I got my smiley and then it turned positive. Last cycle i ovulated on cd14 but it was cd17 this time around so I think ovulation can vary by a couple of days. If you are getting EWCM and flashing smileys might be worth dtd over the next few days. It might be that you are just ovulating a bit earlier this month but on the other hand you might ovulate on your normal day and might just have to wait a few more days for the smiley face to turn solid and get a positive opk.
