Confused *

Hi girls,

I wonder if anyone could shed light on this...

I came off the pill about 6 weeks ago, I had about a day’s withdrawal bleed immediately and then after about 2 weeks, signs of ovulation. No AF in the 6 weeks but tested and BFN.

I was sure yesterday was my AF as had cramps and some bleeding yesterday morning - I was pleased Cos I thought at least things are ‘working’. Lol. But after one little bleed in the morning, there was nothing?! Had AF cramps all through the night last night, kept getting up expecting it to be back but nothing?!

Has anyone else experienced this after the mini pill?

Yes! I get random bleeds here and there on that pill (still on it, coming off end of this month) HATE IT, never going back on it!

Have you started taking any prenatal? As when I came off this pill to TTC 3 years ago I went straight onto trying to conceive by seven seas and they claim to help with hormone balance and I believed it helped for me loads and am going back on them this time too.

Thank you Ellie. That’s re-assuring as I’m actually taking the Seven Seas ones so hopefully that will help. This is my second time coming off it as my son is 5 years old and I can’t remember having bother before but then my memeoty is pretty rubbish! Lol.

Could it have been ovulation?

I’m not sure Tiger Paws, I def had ovulation symptoms 2 weeks ago so I thought this should be a period but it was very short?! Just gonna see what this next cycle brings.

My cycles were a mess after the pill after dd. Maybe worth using opks or temping to see if you've are ovulating. For me I had signs like ewcm etc but what was happening was my body was trying to ovulate but not actually doing it. Fx xx

Thanks Shanivy. So do you think Inmay not ovulate if the period was so light? I think I’ll try opks this monotheism, I have time to sort that. Thanks for your advice. Xx

It's possible but no way of knowing without testing, temping or having it checked. It could be breakthrough bleeding from anovulatory cycles, which is what I had. Where lining builds up and breaks through .

Could just take time for your body to sort itself out after the pill hun. You haven't been off it long, some women go back to normal straight away, some take months. Good luck with the opks and I hope you are or at least start ovulating soon xx
