Hi

I'm looking for some advice please!

My hubby and I started trying to conceive a few months back. Nothing happened so I went back on my pill over our holiday. Finished pill end of June, did a test end of July as my breasts were really really sore - not sure if that was to do with coming off pill or not? The test was negative. A few days later, had a bleed (quite heavy but short-lived). So, carried on as normal.

On Friday Hubby said he thought I was pregnant - don't know why - I didn't feel different. Did a test Sunday morning - positive. Did another on Sunday night - also positive (I didn't believe the first one!).

Since then (3 days) I am feeling really bloated, I've had a headache most of the day (never get them) and I've got a slight tummy ache. Is this all normal so early? Or am I making myself feel like this?

Got docs appt on Tuesday a.m. - should I ask him to confirm pregnancy or are two home tests enough - still in a bit of denial I think (although v happy)? What will happen in the appt?

Very confused!! Any advice / reply gratefully received

First of all - Congratulations on your pregnancy! :yay:

2 home pregnancy tests (HPT's) are more than enough to confirm your pregnancy, but I'm sure your doctor will do one if you ask :)
Well done to your psychic hubby! Wonder what made him think that!

Bloating, headaches and tummy ache can all be see as symptoms of pregnancy, but again, if you're unsure, ask your doctor about them.

Congrats again, oh, and Welcome to PF:)

Thank you :)
It's so bizarre, we only decided to try very recently and didn't expect it to happen so quickly.
Just really feel strange - I'm sure 2 HPT can't be wrong I guess I'm just in shock.
Tried to get docs appt asap but can only get in next Tues as want to take Hubby with me.

Not sure about his psychic abilities - I had no idea. Have been getting bloated and putting on weight but I have been eating a lot for a couple of weeks!

Will look forward to telling my sis's as they have 2 little ones each so I can sound them out :)

Hi Claire,

Congratulations!

I'm in the same situation as you but I've taken about 6 tests and still don't completely believe it! I'm in the process of having blood tests at the doctors to confirm so I'll know for sure on Thursday.

Wishing you a happy and healthy 9 months xx
